The second volume of Robinson's log book, containing a brief record of his activities at Monterey and along the Southern Californian coast. There are copies of business letters from Robinson, chiefly to Bryant, Sturgis and Company, and this volume includes miscellaneous notes concerning births in the family (1837-1838) and a short a play titled 'The doctor' in another writer’s hand. Both this and the first volume contain pencil and watercolor sketches, of land and seascapes, and of a ship, possibly the Brookline. |
